problems in dropping in an ls2 ?

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

ok so i was reading up on the ls2 motor and it said something about them having electronic throttle control or some crap. how difficult is it to put in a car thats not ment for that engine?

is the ls2 more expensive than the ls1 ?

It can be done, but you would have to install a GM pedal from a vehicle equipped w/ the Drive-by-wire throttle body. Or, just put a cable driven throttle body on the LS2.

Yes, they are more expensive than an LS1. If you're on a budget, look for an iron-block LM/LQ series or LS1/LS6 if you want aluminum.

im trying to build a monster DD/ one of my dream cars. so i just went up north of VA to go look at this kouki and i love the damn thing already, its a 97. everything is in pretty good condition. im gonna try my best to take my sweet *** time with it and build everything how i want it. im gonna start with a stock car and a stock engine on a stand. if it takes me 10 years to build it so be it. but no iron blocks for me. how hard is it really to put in a GM gas pedal? or what throttle body can i use for the ls2 ? can i just use the stock pedal with the stock cable ? anything else i need to worry about as far as sensors or anything like that?

p.s. i just bought a "how to build permance gen III chevy motors" the other day on amazon.com haha. hopefully its good

I would just go out and buy a nice aftermarket 90mm TB that is setup to use a manual cable (Holley, FAST, Nick Williams, etc.). I did no modifications to mine at all....just hooked it up and have never had an issue. No modification of the stock pedal or cable...even used the LS1 throttle cable bracket. :D

That book is really informative if it's the one I have...really fun read.

we used the gm pedal on our ls2.... a little more pricey but also a little more unique, but if your on a budget just use a good old cable setup
