Since I bought this 89'sx I had problems. My speedometer sometimes works when I start it up, but after couple of minutes later it stops working, if I'm crusing on highway, sometimes it cuts me off as speed governer kicked. It does it sometimes in every gear except 1st.

Another problem, my brake light is on all the time when I start it up, and my battery light is on but dimmed not as bright as usual red lights, and sometimes it starts making buzzing sound and battery light goes out, and parking brake lights start blinking and shuts off at idle but as soon as I give throttle the light comes back. Help!

Put new clutch as soon as I break it in, my headgasket blows on freeway!!

:(

Thanks for your time,Amirani

Oh man, that's rough. Seems like you got a lemon car. For the speedometer, you probably need a new sensor, located at the end of your transmission (where driveshaft meets transmission). For the speed governor, 5th gear sensor probably bad... maybe it's stuck or something telling the car that you're in 5th gear all the time (rev limiter kicks in at 5.5k rpm in 5th gear or somewhere in the 5k range), unless you're doing 120 mph while cruising. As for your lights, I'd replace the battery, make sure all connections are tight, make sure all gounds are tight and not rusted, make sure connections to the alternator is tight as well.

I'm not sure if any of this will solve your problem but if I had the same problems, that's what I'd do.

As for the headgasket... man that sucks.
