When i try to crank my RB the engine will turn over but it wont fire up. I kinked the radiator hose to restrict any coolant flow to the radiator at all and it cranked right up and idled fine, but when i unkinked the hose it shut back off. Its the weirdest thing i have ever seen and noone I know what it is or what it could be. If anyone knows anything about this problem, please let me know! Thanks,

Matt

what the hell made you want to kink the radiator hose in the first place?

and check your spark plugs, if they are covered in coolant you have a problem but i think its unrelated.

I really dont know why I kinked it, when I had the sr20 radiator in, I had to make a hose fit and it was kinked, and it ran, so when i put the new radiator in, the hoses were straight and it wouldnt run, so i kinked it and it ran again. Somethin isnt right tho, and I really dont know what, Ill check the plugs, but the engine would start so I dont think thats the problem

It was an obvious and easily fixable problem...the guys who did the swap didnt tighten my IC piping with those rubber couplers, so it blew apart....With a screw driver and 5 minutes, I had it running, but now the alternator, or the alternator fuse is bad...i cant tell which one it is yet.

Odd.

Very odd.

And how would kinking a coolant hose translate into being able to start your motor? I'm confused.

Did you try to bleed your coolant line after you got it running?

check the fuse... if its the fuse all kinds of weird **** will be going on inside the car, certain items wont work, others will, cars relays will be clicking when trying to turn over... so yeah check the green top fuse i think its a 30 or a 40.. cant remember... its like 10 bucks at nissan.
