I wont be a d!ck. When I started using shift lock I had a $20 AutoZone clutch and a welded diff. After 1 drift meet and a few weeks on the street I replaced it with an aftermarket clutch and the AutoZone clutch was ate-the-****-up. As far as the transmisson, I can't imagine shift-locking wear the parts out. I would figure it would just break it althogether.

If you have been doing if for 3 months on a stock clutch I would say it is definitly worn. Now, if you replace it with an after-market clutch, it is still going to wear out. I'm sure your a smart fellow and you know that clutch wear is going to happen, especially when drifting. But I hope this helps and have fun!

Shift lock is bad news for the transmission. If you want to use this technique either be ready to put in a new transmission or just do it in the rain sparingly.

Here's an ingenious idea.... switch techniques, if you want to initate the drift try feint/liftoff or power over, and in the situations you would use shift lock just try clutch kicking.
