i posted this problem a while back but i have done much trouble shooting and connot find out what the hell it is...... when i am in my car and i am driving normally and i come to a stop there is usually the "squeeek" noise.....i replaced all rotors and pads about 3-4 months ago and didnt put the brake quite stuff on it so i am thinking that is the problem. ALthough when i am in reverse...and like backing into a spot every time i hit or tap the breaks there is a loudddddddddd vibration almost a clunk sound, but when i come off the brakes it goes away.....at first i thought it was my e brake hanging up because it was almost non existant anyway...so i pulled the cables ....no go!!! mind you this noise only comes from the backk....i dont know whether this is hurting my car or what i really would like it to get sorted out before something worse happends.......also the car doesnt make noises going into gear onli when you aremoving and then continue to slow down to a stop... what can this be?

I'm not positive, but I don't think its your brakes. You might wanna check your diff and make sure no bolts are loose. Maybe your axle things are coming loose from the diff? I would just make sure everything is tight. THe shaking thing would worry me. IF its just a minor squeel and no shaking I would figure everything is ok.

New problem isn't related. Check all of your suspension components for movement.

Now, for the first problem... the backing up noise is your pads chattering against the rotors. You probably just need to refinish the rear rotors, scuff up the edges of the pads with sandpaper, and use some anti-squeek spray/grease between the pads and calipers. As far as the fronts, it could be the type of pad you're using. If you went with a cheap pad from the auto parts store, chances are, thats it. Did you resurface your front rotors when you installed the front pads? If not, that could cause the squeeling. If you did, remove the pads and scuff the edges down with sandpaper. And, again, use some anti-squeak spray/grease between the pad and caliper. Also, put some of the grease on the slide pins.

yes the problem when hitting your brakes in reverse is your brakes nothing else...the clutch probelm i would check to make sure your clutch pedal is tight..are you sure its only first gear? it may have to do with your transmission

Did you wash the rotors in a soapy solution prior to installation? And, scuff the pads like I suggested and put some of the anti-squeak stuff on there. It should help.
