This seems to be a fairly common problem in a lot of vehicles with aux. jacks. You may want to try a groundloop isolator such as the one below.sirbikesalot wrote:I have a ground loop when I plug my iPod into the Aux jack and charge it using my inverter. It's an annoying buzzing sound. May not be Nissan's fault - could be the inverter or the cable. I'll have to experiment before I come to any conclusions.
If your fan was on then the light should be on when you press the recirculate air button...at least mine works this way. If the fan is off the light goes off.jlsatt00 wrote:People hitting your bumper....oh wait, that is just a problem I have had
I did notice this morning that the button you push to circulate the air in the car is not lighting up. I am assuming it worked though because I was behind an oil burning van and when I pushed the button I no longer smelled the fumes!
It is bad when you have to answer your wife's questions on a forum because you are both so busy you almost don't see each other for a week? Well things will slow down next week!jlsatt00 wrote:People hitting your bumper....oh wait, that is just a problem I have had

If it's any consolation, mine does the same thing. I think it's a "feature" and not a problem...Ticmxman wrote:Do I have a problem? On my recent road trip to NC I noted a concern with my Rogue's climate controls. Not sure if it is a problem or something unique to Nissan. With the cooler temps I did not need the AC just fresh air but when I pressed the recirculate air button the AC would activate and the AC light would come on. This was occuring with the vent selection in upper (dash vents) mode not defrost. I know that the AC activates in defrost mode but is it normal for it to come on when switching from outside air to recirculate air? It's not that big a deal I just have to manually cut the AC off.
Thanks for the info. It still doesn't seem logical to me for the controls to work in this manner. Maybe I'm just use to Hondas and Toyotas where the AC and recirculate air switches are independent of each other.jaywhiz21 wrote:

The symptoms you describe sound similar to a CVT issue discussed in this thread:peach wrote:Hello, I have had my Rogue since February. After a couple of months, if I was at a stop light and when I started to go... it would not go anywhere for a few seconds...I would have to press the gas hard and then it would all of a sudden take off! It had no power at all, like it was hesitating to go into first or something. Or it is not getting enough fuel to go. I took it to the dealer who could not duplicate the problem and no lights had come on yet to determine what the problem was. As soon as I left the dealer of course it did it again. Well finally just this past Friday, the service engine light came on. I have taken it back to the dealer now and they are trying to find the problem. They think it is something with the fuel pump, but their computer is broken and they are having to get a new one to diagnose my problem...go figure. Anyway, it is a REAL BIG SAFETY hazzard in my eyes because I can get hit by another car who thinks I am moving. I could get rear ended or hit by the side if the car hesitates like that.
Yours sounds like the same issue as mine. What was the outcome?
Well... you can't say there isn't a huge selection of backup sensors for cars... some are better than others so do your research.Nemo09 wrote:Poor rearward visibility! I'm looking for an easy backup sensor to install on our leased Rogue.
love the idea. well done mate!Qashqai wrote:Problem: The bottom of the glove box is all scratched becasue of the metal pins underneath my wifes make-up bag. I know I know, a "make-up" bag in a car??? sounds interesting right???It is a bag full of spare lipsticks, perfume, nail polish, etc. she keep them in the car in case we decided to go to a fancy restaurant or elsewhere and she doesn't wear a make up....

Solution: I went to an Arts and Crafts store and I purchase a self sticky, letter size black felt. I used a white paper as a template and cut the felt accordingly. I stick the felt on the bottom of the glove box. Now it looks better. No scratches at all.
