Hey, I've had my ca for a little over a month now and one day my top radiator hose decided to bust and the motor overheated a little. I kept it off when it did. I replaced it but ever sine then the car hasn't ran like it did before. I still have cold start problems, but now I can not drive my car with boost. It drives normal under boost but once it starts to build it after 3 PSI, the turbo starts hesitating and the needle on my boost gauge is jumping up and down like crazy. I've replaced 2 coil packs, plan on replacing the other 2 soon, and replaced the vac lin from the turbo to the wastegate. Like I said it runs fine when it's still in vac but when it start to build boost it feels like the turbo doesn't want to spool up. any suggestions?

I'd be looking at vac lines. Particulairly the ones that are near the rad hose as you may have either removed them or jostled them loose while replacing said hose. Also check to make sure your intercooler piping clamps are properly tightened down.

I doubt a leaky/blown headgasket would cause the issue you're having. It wouldn't just be on boost, you'd notice a problem at idle. Not to mention oil in your coolant.

thanx, I'll check the lines in the morning before I go to court to pay for a 2 month old speeding ticket lol. Me and my friend thought my coil packs were going out so he suggested replacing all of them.

It's really hard to detect a vac line leak because of my downpipe, it has a screamer pipe for the wastegate and it's loud. I think someone suggested using soapy water to detect it.

Indeed, weak coilpacks can also give those symptoms. But so can sparkplugs. Check the FSM trouble diagnosese. It's rarely something the FSM doesn't mention.

It does sound ignition related. I'd check the plugs and the ignitor. maybe the excess heat from the hose blowing toasted the ignitor?
