Everything went pretty smooth except for a weird glitch I'm getting now. I'm sure you're all aware of the beep that the car makes if you close your door with the keys inside. Somehow the car detects whether a human is inside as well so that it doesn't beep every time you get into your car... which is exactly what is happening. I think something just needs to be reset, but I'm not sure what. I did the airbag reset, and as far as I know the driver seat doesn't have a weight sensor like the passenger seat does. Any ideas?
I'm sorry that it's a problem that brought you here but I'm glad you found us!
Our Juke freaks out from time to time and does something similar and the Juke is completely stock. Oddly enough it usually happens when we're in a particular Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot.

In your instance could it be that there is an
additional key fob still in the car as an alert to not try and lock the car?
burgerga wrote:My second issue is that throughout the day of doing the install, I ended up draining the battery. Late that night I showed a friend the new speakers and everything worked fine, but in the morning it was dead. I jumped it just fine, but now the radio doesn't work. It turns on and off and the volume is adjustable, but all other buttons do nothing which is really sad because I couldn't listen to my new speakers on my way to work today

. Any ideas on that?
That sounds like a short in the system somewhere causing a power drain but the fact that after a jump there were some non-functional buttons is a little strange. I'll check with some of the audio old-timers and see if anyone has any ideas. Can you give some details on the setup that you converted from and what you replaced everything with?
