Has anyone ran into this. I have a 2001 Maxima SE. I disconnected the battery to do some repairs. The car was fine before this. After I reconnected the battery, the trip meter will not hold memory, the clock does not work, security does not work and the A/C will turn itself on whenever. What happened and how do I repair this?

The car is otherwise fine although MPG seems a bit off.

Any help appreciated!

John

Try checking your connections could be a loose neg/positive connections.

Check the auxiliary connections to the battery cable. Also make sure there's no corrosion on the terminal or the cable contact.

I have the same symptoms (dead clock, resetting trip meter odometer, and a/c that forgets its mode). What is the fix?

I have an infiniti that I also disconnected the battery to do some work. I bought a new battery a month ago...exact same issues. Any ideas on how to fix?
