I recently installed a set of HID for my girlfriend's A/C with the HID Relay. Today I noticed when she turned on her headlights, only the driver side light came on. I than turned them off than on and they both worked. This occurs randomly, not every time.

What’s the purpose of the HID Relay if she’s getting this problem?? Is anybody else experiencing this problem with the HID Relay harness?

I'm going to guess she has the Tech Package w/ Auto Lights? A lot of AC owners have been experiencing this. They either encounter it the way you have (turning off and back on again) or by keeping their lights on Auto. You should research other threads for a resolution. I had this issue with my 05 sedan, and just wired the passenger light's pos/neg wires to those in the driver's side - took me 10 mins and lessened further complications.

Remember - reference other threads and use them as your resource. Good luck to you and the girl friend!

somone hooked a voltmeter up to both headlights and found that, even with relay harnesses, the passenger side light still wasnt getting enough volts when you start the car up. im not sure if this makes sense or not because i have HIDs with a relay harness in my fogs as well as my headlights, and i havent had a problem with my fogs not firing up since i put the relay harness in.

I don't know what's wrong with people having issues with their hid lights using relays or not.

I have both relays for the low beams and fog lights and never had any issue with them...

I left the light in auto and it works just fine.

However, I usually turns the lights to Off and turn it to "auto" when it is dark. Sometimes, I turn it to "parking lights" to turn the fog lights and parking lights on as well.

She doesn't have the audio control on the steering wheel either... which is comes with the Convenience Package:
