I just bought a 95 s14 and I'm getting to know the car and all it's little kinks...

So, yesterday I was driving with the windows rolled 1/2-way down and it all the sudden went all the way down. I just left it alone. Then when I parked the car and pushed the button to roll them up, it wouldn't roll up. I had to jiggle the button a few times for they finally went up. As far as I can tell so far, it's only the driver's side window that is having problems. The passenger side rolls up and down no problem from both controls.

What could it be? I'm think the regulator is going bad. Is there anything else it could be since only one side is doing it?

It is either going to be the window switch going out, or a fuseable link issue. My wife had a similar issue with her 95 sentra, but only her left side window would roll up or down. In the end the issue was resolved when I pulled and reinserted the fuse for the power windows.

Sounds like the switch is just bad. Drive it up to a junkyard and see if they will let you pull one and test it before you pay.

Its the window switch. I had this problem on mine. I checked the wires, the motor, ect. changed the switch and it works great.

Thanks! I'm going to try to find one at a junkyard this weekend. It's hard to find 240's in the junkyards around here though. It's usually all american cars. I always get excited when I find one haha

There's a bunch of yards in NC with 240s. Check http://www.car-parts.com

Tri-City Salvage had a few cars last time I was there a few years back. They're located between Winston-Salem and Greensboro

Thanks for the site! I found a junkyard in Aiken- closer to me than W.S/Greensboro. There's one other junkyard that's about 20 minutes from me.. Last time I checked, they had a s14... just can't find their number...
