Hi, I have 91 240 hatch with a red sr swap. It's bone stock except for fmic and exhaust. I recently replaced the stock fuel pump with a walbro 255. Now it runs great for about 10 minutes then blows the fuel pump fuse and continues blowing those fuses, but for some reason, after I let it sit overnight it stops blowing fuses. Then I'll get another 10 minutes of run time out of it and the problem starts back up. This driving me crazy. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Sounds like you've got a short going on... Did you use crimp connectors or solder and heat shrink? The kit comes with crimp connectors but you really shouldn't use them.. My thought here is your positive wire is getting wet after fuel getting tossed around from running...

I did use the crimp connectors that came with it. I also had thought that too, but the stock pump's terminals are open to the inside of the tank as well.

I still think the crimp connectors are your problem.. If the problem didn't exist before the install, it has something to do with what you've done. The only thing you've done is changed a part, which has been proven to work in our cars without a problem. The only thing you've done different than what most people do is you've used crimp connectors..

A bad alternator can also cause that fuse to blow for some random reason... I went through 10 of those fuses when I first did my swap because I was in a hurry and didn't pull the SOHC power steering lines out. One of them was touching the alternator, so anytime I turned the key on, POP!
