Check and clean your electrical connections to the CAS. You probably bumped the connector getting to the thermostat. If not, I would look for a used one off of a 90-93 if you're not ready to replace it with a new one. I'm pretty sure the new style won't fit in the head.

I would certainly re-check it. It would be quite a coincidence for it to fail at the exact moment you replaced the thermostat. Either way, your replacement needs to be from a 90-93.

I would love to help you but by descriptions like this:

It makes it really hard.

I assume "Certain point" means 3000 RPM's right?

Now I have never replaced the Thermostat but why would you need to unplug the connectors on the Crank Angle Sensor?

Either way just clean and tighten the pins on the connectors.

yea sorry. i cant rev past 3,000rpms.and i unplugged the SUB CAMSENSOR.i did that because i removed the bracket that held the ornament cover.i find it a shock to, that the sensor would just go out.but i do have to admit two other things.a week prior to that my mom said there was a noise coming from the engine. i heard it. it had sound as if the powersteering pump was making the noise.i moved the steering wheel the noise did'nt change.when you revved the car it would go away but quickly come back.

the second thing is when all the antifreeze leaked out it went under the manifold.

thats the only thing i can think of.

Well the Antifreeze leak under the plenum is because one of the hoses broke. You can fix that for ~$1000 plus labor and when replaced you won't have to worry about it again for ~7 years.

I have no real idea about the noise but it could be a bad belt pulley bearing(s) and you can buy those here: http://www.activesuspensionsys....html

There is a test you can perform I suppose to see if the CAS is at fault or not, See the Service manual for you model year Q45.

If it turns out you really need one I may be able to sell my only spare for a price.

no. lol. the hose did'nt break.a friend removed the front of the t-stat housing and all of the anti-freeze went that way.i tried wiggling the harness then start the car no go.then tried it to see if there's a change while she was running...no.

that noise is coming from the sensor area.i dunno if it's the evap. canister or that sensor.

and if it is this sensor, i know it's alot to ask for seeing it's your spare part. but how much are you asking?

Aren't you supposed to empty the radiator and engine of all Antifreeze prior to replacing the t-stat?

Like I said perform the test as said in the 19901993 Q45 service manual. But if it fails that test then I will sell my spare for $100 plus shipping.

Can you describe the noise any better or take a video?

Does the noise sound like a injector ticking or relay clicking?

Do you have a multimeter?

Do you have access to a Nissan Consult or Laptop Consult?

Are you planing on replacing the CAS yourself or have someone else do it?

Are there two connectors on your CAS or one?

In the service manual it shows two connector and the sub-CAS connector is near the T-stat. Make sure you plugged all the connectors back together.
