Hi, my wife's car has been experiencing problems with the power locks on the two rear doors. At first, the right side door starting working intermittently. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it would not. Now the left side does not work at all. You can manually lock and unlock the door, but not with the button or the key fob.

Is it possible that both of these locks happened to fail at the same time or could it be something else? The car only has about 65,000 miles but is a 2011.

Thanks for your help!

Either lock failure or BCM failure(Body Control Module)

I finally had a chance to visit the dealer and have them look at my locks. I found out that not only are both of the actuators in the rear dead, but the one on the driver's side door is on its last leg. They are over $600 each to replace. No way I am spending almost 2 grand to fix this. What a joke. This car has 65,000 miles. Obviously, there was something wrong with these things that 3 of them would go bad at that same time.

My guy at the dealer said he was going to contact someone higher up and see if Infiniti will eat some of the cost. I haven't heard back yet.

Did you ever resolve your actuator issues? Did the dealer cover any costs? I also have a 2011 M37S with 117K miles that has the same intermittent issue with the driver door lock. I want to get it fixed but for right now I just unlock with the key whenever it doesn’t unlock with the key fob.

Don't expect the dealer to cover anything at 117K without an extended warranty. Door lock actuators are pretty simple if you are mechanically inclined. Not difficult but there is a lot of stuff to remove and maneuvering parts in the door can be tricky. If you can't do it and don't want to pay the dealer, any reputable private shop can do it.
