I have a 08 Rogue with HID light. The light housing has a adjustable height. Recently when I apply the turn left turn signal without any other lights on, both headlight will keep on adjusting up, and since it reach the max height, it makes a popping sounds (where the housing bounce back and adjust up again and bounce back again and repeat)
It doesn't happen on right turn signal, or when the side marker/headlight is on. It only happen when the left turn signal is use and no other light is on.
Anyone has any idea what might be the problem?

Sounds like a weird electrical issue. Probably not going to be a simple fix. Take it to the dealer

It happen before but it was cause by a poor quality brake leds and it made the clicking sounds when I step on the brake.
But the problem was gone after I put in a good quality brake light.
Now the problem is happening when I am using the turn signal
I hope to see if anyone has any idea what might cause it because I am out of warranty and don't want to go to dealer if I can solve the problem myself
(last time I bring it in, dealer couldn't find the problem and told me "its PROBABLY because of the stuff you put in the car"<<Exact word from dealer)

Have you had any aftermarket accessories installed recently? Does the head light move up with the pulsing of the signal light that you see on your dash?
The Popping sound is normal to hear when the lights reach as far as they can get and they jump down a gear and repeat. You can see this happening when use adjust your side mirrors and keep adjusting it to one side or the other.
My best guess is that there is a short somewhere in the electrical system. You could try pulling fuses and relays to the headlight adjuster and turn signals to see if you can narrow down the problem even more. Since its only the the left turn signal, trace where it branches out from the relay and the right signal to see if you can find any bad wires or touching components or even a bad ground which causes most vehicle electrical problems.

I think I found the problem. Somehow the left turn signal socket (front) got water in it so it shorted. I am going to order a replacement and see if it fix the problem.
(How does water get there anyway)

I replied on your other post also
First changed the burn out bulb.
Second, check the connector for the turn signal and make sure that there is no water damage in there (during car wash and storm, some water does make its way into the housing)

I am having this same issue. Where would I find the turn signal socket, and what needs to be replaced? The socket or the bulb?
