problem with the 2000 infiniti i30

I already got the idle air valve fixed and the idle is still bouncing around when the car is in park or neutral. when in drive it stays level out.

what code did the service engine light give you?

thank you thats very helpful. I also have a p0420, p0159 and a p0158. Maybe those three can cause the p0505 to come up?

dam now the car wont go. It just dies when i put it in drive.Is there anyone here in san diego that knows how to install these emc's? IM going to have to get one this week. thank you

well i got a new ecu and im going to the dealership tomorrow to get it reprogrammed. i hope it works

Make sure you bring all the car keys with you to be included in the programming (NATS-Nissan Anti Theft System).

well i took it in and now it works great. Idles perfect and no more codes

Did you buy a new or refurbished ECU and how much? Other forum members are interested in good ECUs at reasonable price.

i got it used at the junk yard, we have alot of them in san diego. it cost me $125. they had only two at the shop i got it at. another one had some for $150. Most of them are pulled straight from the cars so u never know what your going to get. They dont give refunds, but they do give exchanges if it doesn't work.
