Im not sure by what you mean when the bulbs are ok when you hazard since the turn signal bulbs have nothing to do with your brake lights. I also dont think its your fuse since your brake lights are partially working. Soo my guess is that your left side brake bulbs are faulty. I would pull them out and inspect that the bulbs have both filaments intact. Another simple way to see if its the bulbs is to take the ones from the right that do work when you engage the brakes and place them on the left side. If they work then it looks like the secondary filament on the original bulbs on the left side are gone. Give this a try and let us know how it works out.

Maybe you have 3 bad bulbs? I'd replace them and see whathappens first...

-first replace the bulbs. might as well do all of the brake bulbs at once - 1157 bulbs for the main brake lights, 921 bulb for the 3rd brake light-if they still don't work, check the wiring for bad connections and the bulb terminals for dirt or corrosion-last resort is replacing the bulb holders (I had to do this on one of my taillights)

^^ Good point. If you still doesn't work, you might want to remove trunk interior trims and see if any wires are damaged from rubbing. cmkelly had a prblem with his antenna before that way.

my old 240 vert did something similar to this. only one bulb on the driver's side would turn off completely when i hit the brakes. i wasn't concerned about it cuz i was going to get the red and clear tails, but i wrecked it. i still decided to see what was wrong with it because i replaced every bulb before finding out it was the actual wiring in the tail light itself. (wiggling some in the tail light would make it work) that also helped me decide i was just going to get new tails and that would have also fixed it. so.....check the wiring, or get new tails
