Okay so i have a 1989 nissan 240sx with a s14 ka24de motor and transmission, i have a s13 ka24de harness and ecu. Everything is hooked up and all grounds are grounded. Heres the problem, i go to start the car and click. So i replaced the starter with a brand new one, and once again click. so i ruled out the starter and i checked all my grounds once again and its all good. Also i checked my battery and terminals and everything is good and clean 12plus volts. The ignition switch has also been checked. So it has to be a electrical problem or sensor or something. i checked the car for kill switches from previous owner but there were none. :wtf2:

So please if you have any thoughts or information please help me out.

Take your battery down and get it load tested. I bet there is like 50 cca vs 550.

How did you check your ignition switch?

okay ill do that, I tested the ignition switch by getting a multimeter and putting it on the black and white wires solder point on the ignition switch and turned the key to make sure it was putting out enough voltage.
Thanks

I only ask because mine did the exact same thing as well as the voltage getting through. It wasn't until I removed the switch from the key cylinder and turned it with a flat tip that it started right up. I installed a push button with a relay and going strong ever since. Just a suggestion.

So once you took the switch out you used a flat tip to turn the ignition? or what did you turn?

Alright i figured it out, It wasnt anything electrical, not the battery not anything complicated. Obviously the dumb person who put the engine and transmission in didnt properly align them and all i had to do was get the transmission level with the engine so the starter could hit all teeth and turn the flywheel. Thanks everyone.
