Here's the deal. As I am sure all us do from time to time(or all the time in some cases) I tached out my car and my governer kicked in. No biggie I thought til I looked down and saw that my speedo wasn't showing any speed. Alright that is weird but wasn't all that concerned til I tried to accelerate past 5k in third gear...my governer kicked in and its not supposed to til after 6k. I try out fourth gear governed me at 5k just like third. Now I was getting a little pissed and figured what the heck and tried fifth gear...No joy only up to 4k and the damned governer kicked in. On top of all that my odometer and tripmeter dont work. If anybody has a clue as to what I screwed up please let me know.

I absolutely believe it is nothing more than that your gauge cluster isnt getting power. The ecu is fed from wiring which comes from the cluster. I have had the same problem except my guages flashed on and off. When it went off the governer kicked in at 5k. I know that you have the HUD. Very common problem. Switch to analog guages, or search on here for HUD. This will give you everything we have ever talked about on this retarded topic. Been there. My particular problem was that the plug closest to the digital speed lcd had a loose connection. I had to ziptie the wires to put pressure on them for it to make continious contact. There are many reasons this happens and many fixes. You'll have to search. Good luck. I am currently going to analog, because the [problem will not quit driving mr nuts
