Ok... So i wired in a toggle switch that fits in my dash for the sleepy look, but when I stop the lights halfway, the left light is higher than the right. This looks really ugly. Does anyone know how to adjust this so that they will be even? Even when i just use the lights like normal, when i push the button to have em go back down u can hear the left light closing slightly before the right. Check it out if ya want: http://www.cardomain.com/id/naed240sx Yeah, i kno the car needs work, but i just did sleepy eyes for fun. Pls help me out. thanks

Well, you can adjust the headlight motor, I'm gonna guess based on the obvious front end damage that it had to be put back together sometime/ needs to be adjusted.

Well how do i adjust the motor? I know theres the manual knob that you can turn to raise of lower them, but when u flip the lights this just resets anyways.

well if the knob doesnt help it then i would say you are SOL. Because one of the motors is not working as properly as the other one. so i would give up on sleepy eyes or put out the money for a new motor

sanioll - be nice. Thanks.

My 240 does the same thing, one motor works faster than the other.

I did the "brown wire cut" mod tho, so no need for a toggle switch.

Also, I have heard the headlight switch is actually to blame in many instances. Weak link in the S13.

retarded eye look... i love it, lolbut i understand why It would piss you off, but most cars ive seen tend to all raise and lower their lights at differnt times... 240s, MR2's, Corvettes...

I thought the trick was to wire each headlight to a seperate switch? or am I wrong?

I just took out the fuse for the headlight motor and cut the brown wire so that it stays like that permanently.... at lease now i can freely adjust the height of the headlights + I can have it like that while the light is on... dont know if that works out for you.

(PS) I live in a city with alot of lightning so driving at night with limited light from the sleepy eye doesnt really affect me but if you live in more suburban area I wont really recommend you doing this unless you want to put the fuse back in everytime u want the light on all the way up...

I can use the high beams. thats what I do to get a little more light out of it. As for the fuse, I cant think excatly which one it was off the top of my head but it was brown and it was one of the bigger ones.... I can tell you probably tomorrow or something. It should say it in the fuse box by the battery tho.

for my sleepy eyes i tried the "brown wire thing" but they wern't even. so i conected the wire back up and went out underneath the hood and ajusted them up. I think thats the best way to do it.

I used a toggle switch to inturupt the fuse. just find the correct wire behind the fuse pannel cut it and run a switch loop there. easy and the motors stay equal. also this alows you to have the lights on and have it in sleepy!! sexxxyness

saioll- I just did it for fun, dont be an ***. I am planning on fixing the body eventually, but money is going to performance first. Sleepy eye mod cost 2 dollars, so thats irrelavant.

Yeah, i guess im screwed then, maybe i should take apart the light assemblies and compare. Even when i use em normally u can hear the left one close first, so its not like my mod caused the problem. The left one just works faster.

Whenever I get drunk eyes, i just push one light to match up the other. It hasn't hurt anything as long as you're going an inch or 2. I haven't run the sleepy eyes at all lately, i have a toggle switch which stops them as they go down.

I also did the toggle switch and I can turn the light on and off, but if I hit my high beams my light pop up? is there a way to have the high beams on and not have the lights pop up?

I'm sorry, i guess i'm being an *** as always, but looks like he needs to fix his cars appearance before adding any special features to it.

How much will it improve the vehicles apperance if it looks sleepy? Look at his car, just click on that link. side damage, paint is all messed up. All that has to be fixed, before he even thinks about adding any sleepy eye mod.

Besides art comes after functionality. He needs to improve drivetrain before making it to look good.

Once again, I apologize for being an ***. Its just me.

Well, just search for threads created by me, and you will find some pics of the parts, engine, transmission etc.. in dirty form.

Okay, I'll see if i got some pics. i may have something on the back up server at home. I'll post it when i get home.
