i just changed my rear disks and brake pads...when i came to put it back on the piston was out too much so i came on this site and found the way too push it back...but now after a few days...when i got home at noon, smoke was comming out...checked the handbrake cable just in case and its fine...not too tight but since the new brake the e-brake light is on.... Now i figure that the piston is probly stuck in the out position again...did it ever happenned to anybody or anybody knows what this might be?? thanks anyhow!Olivier

by the way...here's my baby!...not done but...

Usually the rear calipers are in pretty bad shape, it wouldn't hurt to get a rebuild kit every time you do the brakes. It doesn't cost a lot.

you need to clean out and replace all the seals on the slide pins on those as well as relube them with some synthetic caliper grease. the seal inside one of them probobly got gummed up and siezed, so your brakes wont release

My rear passenger caliper has some rust pits around the piston. Next time you are back there retract you piston manualy out an inch or less and peel back the rubber boot and look for pitting. Just something to look into along with the other suggestions.

I still have that problem, I don't know if it is possible to purchase a piston replacement.
