Problem with my trunk shock!!!

I want to check here before calling my dealer. Last week, we go a bit lower temperature, like -1 celcius, far from what we got during winter. Since that, my trunk stop opening at the middle. I have to push my trunk to fully open it.

If this append at -1, issh at -30, my trunk won't open at all!!!

It is normal?

There have been reports of 'sticking' lift struts at very cold temperatures. It never gets to the point that you cannot open the hatch. It's just stops partway up and you have to push it open the rest of the way.

This isn't just a Nissan specific issue as I have had a few other vehicles/makes do this.

Yeah mine does this too and to be honest I'm really not happy about it. I drive a variety of SUV/CUV type vehilces at work including Ford Escape, Chev Traverse, Dodge Nitro, various minivans etc and none of them behave like the Rogue trunk except the Nitro a little bit, not nearly as bad. If you do take it to the dealer to complain, let us know how it turns out, because if it is in fact a defective part or one that is weak enough that Nissan will replace it with a better unit, I'd like to know. But if they'd just replace them with the same part it won't change anything, we need an upgrade....

I will let you know. I have a list of thing that I'm not happy and I will go foir oil change (more than that) in about a month.

You go to your dealer for CVT problem and the answer yuou: That's the way the CVT works....HAHAHAHAHAHA

I thought they were gas-filled, no hydraulic fluid, if I'm right then your dealer hasn't got a clue.
