I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra and when i drive it and push the breaks it makes a noise like two metals hitting together. I've taken it to the mechanic twice and the first time he told me i had to change the breaks and rotors on it, so i did and the second time i took it he told me i had to cut the rotors thats why it was making the noise. But none of that helped. Now the noise is louder from the inside can you please help me out?

Did you use Nissan brake pads, or aftermarket? It's not unusual for aftermarket pad producers to make them with very hard compounds to reduce claims against their lifetime warranty. OEM pads tend to be nicely balanced between longevity and noise - since the engineer's goal is to make the car stop quickly and quietly, and they aren't under any warranty constraints.

Replaced and then they resurfaced them? Over what kind of a time period? That doesn't add up at all. Any able minded mechanic should be able to determine what is happening. Could be as easy as the hardware being misaligned/not installed all the way in place. They put new pads and new rotors and it was still making noise? what kind of a time line? What kind of driving are you doing? city/highway averages wise?
