Problem with my door

My interior light comes on when Im taking turns as if the door is being opened. Also on the highway today my light that shows that the door is open came on when I know it is shut. What could be causing it? Is it the latch or some sensor?

is it a hatch? my door open light comes on and off cuz the hatch sensor, i just turned off the interior light, cheap fix

Nope its a coupe and i did turn the dome light off, but i was hopeing that I could fix it.

I super-glued a nickel to the inside of my door so it acts like a shim cuz my door ajar sensor sux..

Car was in an accident, so door is funky

rofl!!! I'll check it friday morning. hopefully its something simple, because while nothing big it sure is annoying!

Does it matter which way you are turning? Right turn it will be your left door, left turn its your right door. If it does it turning both directions, switch is probably loose or bad wiring.

With the car sitting still and one door open at a time, try to push each sensor in to get the light to go off, then wiggle the sensor back and forth, ovbiously if this re-creates the effect, repace the sensor...

slick... then visit a junk yard, pop that bad boy replacement sensor in, and you should be good to go....

try tightening down both screws on the striker. my dome light used to come on and off on the freeway and on turns too. after tightening down the striker, it stopped.
