problem with lugs

ok i have been recentely having a weird problem my j30 has been snapping the the lugs and stems the car does have the I30 rims but i have had them for a while and the lug stems 3 or 4 to be exact snapped and i went to my mechanic who said it will be $150 to put them on lugs and stems not included cause i am changing all 20 because i dont want to have to worry about losing a tire is this just cause the cars old or is this happening for a reason thanks also when i hit bumps and step on the brakes hard its like a clicking or thumping from the front is there any way to tell if this is the ball joints or struts

Could be the Tension rod Bushing causing the thumping.Mine did over bumps and when I rolled slow and gave a firm push on the brake pedal.Easy fix.Clueless about the Lug problem but you need to get that sorted !

ok so i got the car looked at wow shes going to be sitting in the driveway for a long time a lot of things are wrong out of no were the front struts 367.09 a side radius busing ? not sure is this the tension rod bushing the steering rack outer tie rods the rims were the studs go thru are oval so i need new rims tires studs and lugs so yea i just wnated to know is the radius bushing the same as the tension rod? please help guys any info will be greatly appreciated

you must really be cranking down those lug nuts to bust off studs like that.... Yeah, the studs are kinda weak and occasionally youll break them, but im thinking something else is up... are you using the right size lugnuts and all that stuff???

You have to REALLY crank those bad boys on there to break a stud.

they said the rim is oblong and a oval shape were the studs come through but i was wondering if anyone knew were i can find a radius arm bushing ??
