Problem with Greddy Profec A, very inconsistent boost control.

This may apply to the other controllers as well. I have a Greddy Profec A on my RB25DET and have developed a problem where I am getting inconsistent boost. Check my sig for mods.

I have it set to 20 psi, and if i drop the hammer from a low RPM roll (2500) and it rolls up on boost all is well. Boosts 20psi no problem.

Now, sometimes it will only boost spring pressure. Its very random but I have noticed it happens almost everytime if I stomp it from 4k or so (which is basically where I come into boost) from a roll.

Is this a setup problem? I know its installed right. Its been in the car for a couple years now with no real issues. I tried tweaking the adjustments and dip switches on the back to no avail.

Thoughts? This thing IS really old. I have had it on two cars and bought it about 10 years ago.

I am wondering if its setup, or a dying solenoid.
