problem with front strut bar.

I bought a front strut bar off of ebay a few weeks ago. The bar fits in great and works well except for one hitch. There seems to be a support beam on the underside of the hood that prevents the passenger side of the hood from closing all of the way. The hood fully latches, but right up by the light (1991 S13), there is about a 1/2 inch gap. Besides the general concensus of ditching the ebay strut bar, does anyone have any ideas on what I can do? :help

Who makes the strut bar? If you do decide to just get rid of it, I bought the one for $40 off PDM and it works great.

just do alittle bit of body work, it shoudnt take much to cut or bend the problem away.

i had a pilot motorsports strut bar and it rubbed against the hood on teh passenger hood slightly but not enough to effect anyhting. is the bar bent at all?

What brand is it, so others might stay away. Personally I wouldn't hack up your hood just to fit a cheap STB. If you can send it back, do so.

The strut bar doesn't appear to be bent at all. All in all, the bar seems to be of real good quality, although it doesn't carry a namebrand. I ended up spending about $37 for the bar and shipment. I wrote the seller an email about the problem yesterday, so I will hold off commenting on who the seller is until I get a response.
