Issue with the pro kit is that I'm getting slight knock sounds. The strut master is tightened down as best as it can be (i tightened it again after the car was put back down to the ground as suggested). I'm trying to find out if others have had the same problem, or maybe get some suggestions on what to diagnose. Everything is as tight as its going to be without ripping out threads from things or rounding out/ shearing off bolt heads.

I can turn the wheel, and hear a slight pop on both sides of the car (they don't always happen simultaneously, but turn the wheel enough and you will hear the pop). it is not loud, and looking under the hood i see no wear around bolt heads. Could it be the control arm somehow?

I'll take pictures and post them up here later if needed.

Thanks,

Dank

Make sure the lower portion of the spring is properly seated in the "groove". There should not be any gap between the end of the spring and the spring seat.

did you use an allen key to tighten the master strut bolt with a wrench.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I went back and jacked up the front end, removed the wheels, and verified that the springs are seated correctly. They look VERY close to the mechanical hard stop that the dust boot has in it. I don't think this is the problem.

Yes, I also went back with the 6mm hex key and tightened down as best I could without rounding out the lock nut on the strut master.

I also loosened and re-tightened the bolts around the strut master. I'll see what effect it has when i drive it around today.

Thanks again for the replies.

Im not sure if this would cause the problem but did you cut the bump stops?

Sure did.

Anyways, the problem seems to have stopped after I took the time to lift the car back up, remove wheels, loosen and tighten every bolt/nut there. I know it was a shotgun style fix, but it seems to have worked.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
