OK, I've just purchased an i30 and i found this forum so I joined. Ive already found some great help on the NICOclub website and forums, so thanks a lot! However, I do have an issue.

I was attempting to replace the bulbs for the clock in my i30 since they were burned out. I was using pink LEDs (it's my g/f car, her choice) and i tested the bias with a fluke prior to installing them. I found out that I could not get a voltage reading at the terminals in the clock, since the light was not on. I turned the lights on to get the interior lights to come on, but the interior lights just stayed at full-bright, as if it was daytime and the headlights were off. Even during the night time, the dimmer will not work for me. I just used the dimmer switch the night before, though. I have tried to reset the SECU by removing the (-) battery terminal for about 20 minutes, and still nothing.

I know that the SECU control all the dimmable lights in the vehicle, and my glove box light and my ashtray light does not illuminate either. I removed the dimmer switch and it seems to be working OK, but I cannot find correct resistance readings in the FSM. Any ideas? Thanks for the help everyone.
