Problem with dashboard ac/heater controls.

Hello everybody,

This is my first post, I hope this is the right place to ask a pedestrian, non-racing question about my car. It's a 92 240sx se (purchased in usa), anyway, a while back, the heater and a/c controls on the dash stopped working in all aspects except the '1,2,3,4' controls for intensity of heat/ac. So, basically, I can turn the heat on (or 'a/c', although the a/c doesn't work), but can't control the routing to defrost, floor, split, etc., and as far as i know the recirc/fresh option doesn't work either. This really sucks as it kills the defrost so I can't see when it's wet and the windshield gets fogged; just wondering if anybody knows if this is most likely a fuse or other more complicated issue. Like I say, the vents still blow, I just don't have control over which ones.

I've got the same problem, except I'm stuck on defrost. Everything worked great when I got the car 7 days ago then I put an amp in and now this Ever figure it out. Thanks
