Problem with Coupe Navigation Screen

Hi guys, the past few weeks the screen on my stock navigation system has been refusing to go back into place. When I press the tilt button the screen either comes all the way out to show the DVD drive, or it will go back in then tilt out gradually again. This just started happening a few weeks ago, I think it might be a short somewhere. Any Ideas?

That has happened to me before. I kept messing around with the tilt button. What i did was just press and hold the tilt button til it tilts, let go and repeat the process til it eventually goes back into the normal position.
