Ok, so I'm having a problem with my bose system and i'm not sure of how to fix it or what to check. Can someone please shed some light.

Problem: speakers will go out at random. I'll hit a bump in the road and the left speaker will go out, hit another bump and right speaker will go out. Sometimes they will all go out or maybe all come back on. This only happen though if i'm listening to CDs. It its on tuner or deck then it always works great. I tried taking the deck out and jiggling the wire to see if its loose or something but it made no affect to the speakers.

Can someone out there give me some other things to check as far as wiring maybe or could it be my deck is just going bad?

From what I remember there was a loose ribon cable in a lot of the Bose radios. I'll see if i can find some more info for you.

I think the problem is that it's a bose system and knows that it should just kill itself.

LOL. I'm just kidding. It sounds like a lose connector. Unfortunately I'm not that familiar with the 350z bose system

That's for 02-03 Maximas that should be pretty similar to what you have. If it's just on the CD player section that your having issues I would think that the ribbon cable for the cd section would be what you want to look at. Let me know if you have any questions.

I'm having the exact same problem on 04 350z w/ bose

sound goes on and off when going over bump, hit on break/acclerator, make a right/left turn, or hit right side of HU a couple times... If i hit the right side of HU couple times the sound from right door speaker might come out- only works about 50% of times.

step on break will usually bring back the sound on left door speakersometimes a bit turn on steering wheel can make the sound go off, or come back on...

subwoofer goes on and off all the time, too.

the problems only with 6cd changer, works fine with radio, but radio sound quality is not good at all

I took the car to car audio shop and the ppl there told me to replace HU, but I really doubt its the HU- sometimes when I make a lane change (only moved steering wheel a tiny bit) will make the sound go off... sometimes when I hit break -

so I see this red light coming close, I step on break a little bit-sound off, countinuing step on break-sound comes back, step even harder-sound off, then full break and the car came to sudden complete stop- sound on. Then traffic light turns green, I hit acclerator, sound off....

will replacing HU really fix my problem? this audio system bugs me alot lately, I have to drive long distance every week and I'm stuck with FM radio

any help would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks

howdee... i have just got an 04 350z and am having exactly the same problem you had with the bose speakers. Left one just cuts out when you accelerate or break hard but only on the cd player....not the radio. Did you figure it out in the end by any chance pal?

There was a problem with a loose ribbon cable in the bose units. I know there is a write up somewhere on how to fix it but I think it might be on a maxima site.

yeah - seem like the ribbon cable might be the number one suspect. Maxima website takes you through how to change it just in case anybody has the same issue.
