Problem with Bluetooth Audio and iPhone 3G / 2010 EX35

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi folks.

I'm trying to figure out the best audio solution with my 2010 EX and I wanted to try the bluetooth audio from my iPhone 3G. The phone pairs just fine for phone functions (appears everytime I turn the car on), but when I try to engage the bluetooth audio to play music, it doesn't find anything.

Any suggestions?

As far as bluetooth, I havent tried the bluetooth for the music but I have for the phone itself, I found that everytime you turn off the car, you have to manually connect the phone everytime. Thats how it is for me atleast, it never auto detects my phone I have to hit connect through my phone even if both bluetooths are paired.

Do you have a 2010 or an earlier EX? Mine pairs automatically so that part works. Just can't figure out the audio bluetooth.

Yes, I have a 2010 EX35, I actually bought it less than a week ago, maybe I haven't configured it properly to autopair. I'll see what I can do and will let you know if I figure anything out with the audio bluetooth pairing.

I would definitely try deleting the pair you have and trying again. It should work. I figured out the audio streaming which now works as well (although not an ideal solution as it doesn't sound nearly as clean as the wired solution).

I don't think our EX35 supports A2DP with iPhones; at least as of last summer's iPhone OS 3.0.0 and my '09 EX35.

If a capable bluetooth device is paired with your iphone, inside the iPod screen you will see the bluetooth icon where you can choose where to output the sound (BT, phone speakers)

This icon never shows up when the phone is paired with our cars.

the iphone 3g pairs everytime with my 2010 but the phonebook gets scrambled everytime i download it. streaming bluetooth mp3s just sounds stupid to me regardless if it can be done or not. just use the iphone cable.

iPhone 3gS works fine. However, the ability to download your phonebook is not supported.
