Problem w/ my 240sx

My girlfriend's 93 240sx has been dying lately. sometimes its a hard starting but it cranks, and sometime it just die while you're driving it, but you wait a couple minutes it runs again. the distrubutor assembly has been replaced a year ago and i even changed the spark plugs. i recently replaced the module next to ignition coil and i thought it fixed the problem...then a week later it died on me again, same problem. it usually happen once or twice a week. i really appreciate some feed back...thnx guys

will it crank when it dies and not start for a min or two, or will it not crank when it dies. is the road surface bumpy when it dies. when you say hard to start do you mean slow labored cranking or freely cranking and not starting. im thinking one of two things. (1) fuel pump / fuel filter (2) corroded battery terminals / poor battery cables.

actually i forgot to mention earlier that one i brought a extra spark plug with me to test if there's a sparks when the car die or hard starting. it died one time and i checked for sparks and none. so....i know the whats causing the car die and hard starting eliminating the fuel pump, fuel filter, and battery. but like i said earlier that my distrobutor has been replaced about a year ago...so... i'm thinking it might be the ignition coil but i just don't want to buy one yet until i'm sure thats causing the problem... thanx
