problem w/ injectors

I narrowed it down and my injectors aren't firing. Some of them click occasionally (listening w/ a stethascope) and the plugs just get this black soot on them but they are not wet. The fuel pump works, I have spark... umm... Has anyone ever heard of this? Is there anything I've overlooked that could have an affect on the injectors?RB20 in S13 FMIC w/ blitz BOV stock injectors, stock maf

how long did it take to get your motor? i've heard of injectors "sticking" after sitting for a while. Good luck

The last time it was running and driving was in September of 2003. I'm taking my injectors to Deatschwerks.com (the owner lives next to me) tomorrow to have them flow-tested and balanced and stuff, so hopefully that's all it is. Otherwise I think the only other thing it could be is the ECU. I want to drive my damn car!

check the voltage to the injectors first, make sure something stupid isnt unplugged or the injector wire isn't disconnected first!

I slowly spun the CAS w/ the ignition on and one injector would click and then all I heard was the coils firing the plugs. If I spin the CAS very slowly I can get it to fire all injectors and all plugs... WTF!?! So I pulled my injectors and they're being flow-tested sometime this week. If it is the injectors that are bad, I suppose I'll be forced to thow in these RC 550s I have laying around and buy a bigass turbo I'll keep this thread updated w/ the injector info for tech reasons. Thanks for the replys!

change your fuel filter. get a noid light and check for ecu pulse light at the injector plug. Might have to get a new cas.

It's not the CAS, I barrowed one from a friend and it does the same thing. It's not the fuel filter b/c I've got fuel pressure while cranking. I should be getting my injectors back soon and I'll check the injector plugs w/ a negative test-light.

can I ask where you sent your injectors to have them checked out? Is it someplace local to you? I have an extra set of RB20 injectors that I can send out to have flow tested and cleaned, but I am not sure where to take them and what to expect cost to be.

just because its pressure while cranking dosent mean its enough while running. an engine cranks at less than half the speed of when its idling.

im leaning twords something electrical (bad ground, weak ground, wiring problem, etc)
