Problem w/ 1197 nissan sentra code P0500

For some reason I keep getting this code on my Sentra. It is for the vehicle speed sensor. I changed it our last week and it popped up on me again. Is there anything else that I need to be looking at?? Someont told me that there could be a loose connection on my speedo unit or slight cracks causing to lose contact. Please help me out.

I never did understand why others got a lot of help threads....

you'll probably have the best luck posting this in Nissan Online Mechanic where Nistec will probably be on it like a fat chick on me.
