Yesterday when I was driving home in the rain, water started to leak through the door right above my tweeter. It also looked like water was coming out of the tweeter but I figured it was just from the leak above it. Anyways I got home and tried to fix it but couldn't really see where the door seal was messed up. I tried to feel where I could push it back in and after a while figured I did but it's still leaking. I was curious if anyone has had this problem or knows what it is and if I need to get a new piece to fix it??

I never had the water problem, but on the highway with the windows up i can hear the draft coming though at the tweeter and condensation builds up in the corner so i take it others too have this prob. I would be intrested in hearing from others to see what they did about it

I have the same problem too, the weather stripping must suck on the earlier models.

I went to a local body shop here in town. He told me that he's seen a 350z with the same problem before. My problem and that guys was the windshield. Mine and his obviously have both been replaced. There are some clips that are under the metal molding that when the windshield is replaced can break. If they do it can lead to a leak in the seal which comes in directly above the tweeter. Can also explain the wind problem, which is how mine started then turned into a water leak. Best thing to do would be to check and see if your windshield has been replaced. If so then this explains your problem. He is going to take everything apart on Tuesday and make sure that's the cause of the problem, but again stated that the changed windshield is most likely the cause. I'll have more information and maybe some pics on Tuesday for sure.
