OK, out of no where my cd player just stops working ...and displays "cd error F0"..........it will not play any of the cd's, eject any cd's, or let me insert an cd's either. As i saw on another thread, i tried disconnecting the battery but that didnt work, what should i do? Its an 03 sedan and i dont have warranty either I called the dealer and they said i may have to replace the entire unit costing $600...i know theres something else i can do..someone please help me.

I've seen several comments on CD players in G35s here. I would suggest doing a search for CD player and G35 and see what you find while waiting for the suggestions to come. If you do have to buy another, try the classifieds here, or post a request for one there. (I hate craigslist but that may be an option too, as is ebay)

03-04 Gs are known for head units to go bad so this is good time to upgrade.

You can get a radio dash kit on ebay for $170 and buy a standard size head unit that plays mp3 cds for < $200.

the code you are getting is from the CD player bugging out. Its not the head unit. When mine did this it was from a Cd getting jammed on the way out. I took that as my sigh to upgrade my stereo which i wanted to do since i bought the car.

I hate the stock stereo, that was the biggest problem. Also, the manufacturer should have made the HVAC seperate from the radio controls.

UPGRADE!!!
