Problem
Problem
Hey guys I was driving on the highway back from work today, I go to pass this guy and the second my rpm go up I feel the engine cut the power, I see the check engine light go on and the car won't let my rpm go over 3000.Any idea on what it might be?

Sounds like your car went into "safe mode". There are many different factors which could've caused this. Have you done any mods to your car recently?

all i got is a k&n drop in.Oh and by the way now the light is on but it lets me rev as far as i want.

check that you didn't pinch the drop in at any point in the box. Your MAF can send your car into safe mode. Check all the components of your intake. Bolts, seals, clamps, hosing, everything. Make sure they are all properly secured.

Yup everything is in place I practically took it apart and put it back together.Got it to stop limiting my rpms but check engine light is still on

Ok guys I ran the diagnostic and i got CMP SEN/CIRC-B1....................................0340from the above guide

oh yea what the heck goes that code mean and is it safe to drive, should i just reset the codes and see what happens.
