The car sat for a month in the driveway not being used but occasionally started. When i had to head back up to college i took it for a drive a couple days before to make sure it was ok. The engine wasn't, It was fine until around 2.5k rpm's. Then the car would start to backfire, sputter, and the car would jerk. Alot of black smoke would appear out the exhaust also when i was in that rpm range. The car didn't do this before i stopped driving it. I found one small pinhole leak in the hotpipe but, nowhere else. The turbo has minimal shaft play to it. I have no clue why it is suddenly running like this when it ran fine before.

Could be your MAF, or a boost leak thats not opening intil 2500 rpm. Check your ecu and see if its throwing any codes.
