Problem starting.

ok here is the deal i have a 92 ka with 102k on it for some reason my battery keeps draining. It will jump start just fine and has no problem driving after it is started so i don't think it is the alternator because if the alternator went bad i wouldn't be able to drive long distances right? im thinking that it might be a bad ground or even a new battery. Also when i do to crank it all the lights turn on as normal and the bell goes off and it goes through slow churning like it wants to start. like the common rained batterysenerio. any opinions to what it might be would be great.

your lights should be brighter with car running if alt works
