Ok, first things first. 89 240sx auto.

1) I can't find the idle adjust screw on the passenger side by the intake manifold, can someone tell me where it is exactly, or even better take a picture?

Currently, I'm looking at the throttle body from the passenger side of the vehicle and don't really see an adjustment screw.

2) My problem is worse because I had an Unorthodox Underdrive Pulley installed. I believe there are marks, but I have no clue if they are lined up correctly - doubt it, I had this done a little while back by a mechanic & didn't think of making them set it tdc, etc.

- How am I suppose to set timing now? I just want to be able to set it to the 15 degree thing first.

Can I set timing by hooking up an Apex'i multichecker & not have to use a timing light?

- unplug tps- start car- have one person look @ multichecker- other person rotates the distributor until desired timing is reached- plug tps back in

I'm guessing the best way would be to set top dead center:- take out spark plug #1- turn the pulley clockwise until the piston is showing

remove the pulley- take out belts- then what? I'm not sure exactly the method to get to this pulley, I have electric fans, so it "shouldn't" be as bad.

put pulley back on w/ the correct mark lined up to tdc. Hopefully my UR pulley does have the correct marks.

I'd really prefer not to have to do this way.

Look for the IACV.

The pulley only installs one way, else they'd have to clock the motor to install it.

You can run off the pulley marks, and double check with the Apexi to see if you are in the ballpark. I'd set it to 17 BTDC.
