While changing the rear pads today, one of the rear caliper bolt/pins sheared off! Where do I get replacement pins? (This is the 14mm bolt)

Thanks!

Sam

Probably best off getting one new from the dealership....

They will overnight. How are your emergency brake shoes? Do you have a shim kit on hand in case you need it?

did the remnants of the pin come out of the caliper mount? I have used stuff (including calipers and mounts) from when i did the rear brake upgrade to jy32/fy33 style.let me know if you need it.

Unfortunately not. The remnant of the pin/bolt is still in the mount. I definately would need some. (Plural because it happened to the other side as well!) Calipers are fine. The mounts are what I need for the rear.

Thanks,

Sam

I got one of my Q's with a bolt of the wrong thread used to hold one of my front calipers in place. It was impossible to just get the right bolt size and strength. I ended up buying a whole caliper from the junkyard just to get the right bolt.

I would't use something that looks like it fits for the pin, I would make sure to get the exact right one.

Sam- got your e-mails. i'm confused. you want just the pin bolts (which? I would *guess* the metal to metal ones, not the sleeved ones)?but if the broken pin-stud is still in your caliper mount, how are you going to get that out? if it doesn;t come out easy, you might just want to buy the whole enchilada. I'll sell you complete/california only (i.e. no excessive rust)/not leaking rear calipers/pins/mounts (both sides) for $45 shipped USPS flat-rate priotiy (must be lower 48). you would want to buy a caliper kit at minimum and change out all the rubber to protect your investment.

let me knowJay
