I have a '95 240sx that i am replacing the cat converter on. I have a direct fit bolt-on replacement but I noticed that the two are different where the cat bolts into the manifold. The stock cat has a lip on it that fits just inside the manifold and the high flow bolt-on doesn't so I am trying to figure out how do i get a seal..because right now if I put the new one on its just 2 flat surfaces between the cat and exh. manifold. Someone told me that the lip on the stock cat is a metal ring that will pop off which you then can pop into the new cat. Though the lip looks as though its actually molded into the old cat. Anyone know what i'm talking about and have any ideas?

Thanks

So a place like autozone would have a gasket that would fit between the cat and manifold..triangular shape w/3 holes??

Hey yeah places always say that but I dont know if they are talking about the cat under the car or the cat under the hood. I wish I had someone who has actually ordered one from somewhere and it was the one I need but I will check that out thanks.
