problem, engine is shakey and shuts off at idle...

what happens is when im driving normal at any speed the engine pulls fine and runs fine, but when i put it in neutral and brake to a stop the rpms go 700 and gradually drops down under 500... when it drops under 500 it either kicks back up to idle or shuts off...

this sometimes doesnt happen at all or it will happen multiple times in a trip... this makes me think its the egr valve...

before the shakiness of my engine was caused by 2 bad injectors but i have replaced them and now am running on all four cylinders... i think that all my problems are cause by something vacuum related...

does anyone know what could be the cause of these problems?

im lookin for a quik fix cuz i am rebuilding a ka but need this ka to last til 1-3 months from now...

Check for vacuum leaks and spark.

bump... anyone have problems like this, if so what was the problem and how did you fix it?

Check vaccuum lines and see if there are any cracks . The lines get brittle over time ..esp those near the back of the engine and the egr....Good idea to replace all of it anyway probably...

Could also be a bad MAF, ot IAC. Do you have codes or a CEL?
