anyways, im not just tryin to gloat, i'm sayin this guy doesnt own the car yet, its an E, but he is planning on buying it.
i should almost try to unplug my sensor and then run it to see just how crappy it runs, that would be an interesting experiment...
I was just backing you up man
Really, to be honest, of all the work I have done on various nissans at the shop throughout the years, I have never seen those nissan thermistors fail. 9 times out of 10 it will just be the connection, they are prone to corrosion. Pop it off, if you see any green or whitish corrosion, wash it with some acid and a tooth brush. Rinse it out good with some baking soda + water and your probably good to go.
*note, the acid may be a bit hardcore for most, some spray electronic cleaner and a little brush will probably do the trick. If that doesnt work, pop it off again and bend the female pins in so they contact a bit better before you go buy a new or used sensor.
