I ran my sr on a stock pump for a while and it had had it and i finally got around to ordering a walbro. I installed it last night and it drives awesome. The only problem is that it doesnt want to crank. I have to hold the gas pedal and spin the motor for a short while. I can see white gas fumes from the exhaust pipe and then when it finally starts it stumbles for a second while blowing an @$$ of black smoke and after that it runs fine. I changed my filter a month or so ago. What could it be?

when you shut off the car, what does your fuel pressure drop 2? also, what do you have in the way of a FPR?

I havent measured fuel pressure yet and i have an stock fpr. The trick is to turn the key on and then off and then on then off then on then start the car... i guess prime the line. Still a PITA

if your dumping a lot of lack smoke at start up your car is flooding with gas. Check wiring on the fuel pump and make sure the FPR is working right. Either motor isnt priming or it is and the FPR is just not working and dumping fuel in the motor.
