This has worked for everything freom my 350Z to my Titan...and it does reset TPMS, it is tricky with our push button starts (turn ignition "on") and very tricky with CVT, 6M/T is easier because you can take it to "on" without the engine starting, another trick is to have EVERYTING in the off position, by that I mean radio, heat/air-cond, etc.
So here it is the Nissan ECU reset procedure, TIMING IS CRUCIAL!!!
1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” and wait 3 seconds. 2. Repeat the following steps (2a and 2b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds. 2a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD). 2b. Fully release the accelerator pedal. 3. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL (SES) starts blinking. 4. Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL (SES) is still blinking) 5. Wait about 10 second. 6. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds. 7. Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL (SES) light will continue to blink). 8. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position and now you can start the car. The CEL (SES) light should be gone. If the CEL light continues to remain ON, repeat the above steps. Timing is EXTREMELY critical to resetting the ECU.
Here's what I found to work for me, it still usually took me a couple tries to get it, you'll know when its working...the blinking will get faster as you progress, now it wipes all service codes as well...I aways did this after install of a Intake or Exhaust etc
1. Ignition "ON", count to 3.2. Depress/Release pedal 5 times...hard and fast.3. Count to 10 (not 7!) and fully depress pedal (as long as it is MORE than 7 sec)4. Count to 12 (SES should be blinking), release pedal5. Count to 10, depress pedal6. Count to 10, release pedal.7. Turn off ignition, then start engine. Done!
Oh if something isn't right (i.e. CEL (SES) light stays on), just redo the procedure, there hasn;t been any documented case of this make a car in-op, and its been around since at least Spring 2003 (When I got my Z)
