I managed to ruin my MAF somehow. I was made a Hacked MAF out of the original, to what I would consider pretty damn carefully...but obviously to rough at some point. Now I can't rev over 2500. I reset the ecu, no avail. I started the car, disconnected the MAF...no change in idle or revving. So I'm 99% sure the MAF is roasted.

On the positive sode I got the car started with no oil or fuel leaks. I also have confirmed my new oil return system works like a champ. No more cutting the oil pan, no more running a restricter, no more having to run a quart low to keep from clogging the oil return line.

Plus my injectors definitly don't leak and the Mustang fuel rail works awsome.

If only I could drive it

in other news, if you need a DOHC maf in tucson I can probably arrange that pretty quick here.

it's so crazy you won't even believe it when he tells you. so crazy, I even know what it is, but I wont tell you in fear of being called a crazy man.

Wrap this around your head: NO OIL RETURN TO THE OIL PAN.

thats just a teaser.

Do tell, do tell! I hate the idea of running a quart low.

You are correct my friend. More info soon to come on the oiling system. I want to make sure the parts I'm using hold up to some abuse before I give out any details, since I'll probably be marketing a kit for the S13 and S14 here pretty soon.

Course, I need to get my car running first. My neighbor is fessing up his MAF this morning. Gonna be hard using a stock MAF and 42lb injectors.

You still need the oil pan, I'm not running a dry sump. Although I know a way I could now. Alot of work though...

so whats with using the stock maf hacked? Wouldnt it be easier to use a z32 and some sort of tuning you may already have in place?
