Probing ECM Connector

Many diagnostic procedures in the FSM specify measuring the signals on the ECM connector. Has anyone able to measure any signal on the ECM connector?

It seems like all the CONSULT information can be retrieved through this connector.

Yeah, it sounds like it. I have measured all the pins listed in the FSM, but that was only with a voltmeter. If you have a data logger or scope, that would be awesome for recording traces. And you would need to know the voltage conversions for things like temp sensors, TPS, etc. Good idea.

Ive done the same thing.. IF you could figure it out, it be golden...

the only difference in using the consult and probing the wires at the ecm(do not pierce the wires!!) is the consult does all of the work for you-the information is the same as you would get with a dvom-just be careful when probing-it is possible to fry an ecm if you aren't careful
